M.A.R.C.O. Military Assistance & Relief of Cleanup Organization
In recent news, CNN has brought to light that 22 veterans kill themselves everyday. This staggering statistic has compelled the National Crime Scene Cleanup Association (NCSCA), along with SuicideCleanup.com to set up this special page providing 24-hour assistance and resources that will help the families of any military person who has taken his or her life.
This pilot program has been fully funded by the NCSCA, and Both NCSCA and SuicideCleanup.com will be funding this project for a minimum of 3 to 6 months. Continuing the project beyond that time frame is absolutely crucial.
James Michel of the National Crime Scene Cleanup Association, a volunteer firefighter as well, says “It takes a very special person to put others welfare in front of their own on a daily basis. This is the least we can do for all they have done for us.” Michel recently, this month, lost one of his closest friends, who served two tours in Afghanistan with the United States Marines.
Marco sadly lost his battle with PTSD in his home in Texas. “Marco was like a brother to me. The pain of his loss will never leave me.” Michel commented further on the cleanup of Marco’s apartment, saying “It was so difficult. I know how our clients must feel, which makes me want to expand this program even more.”
